What is Medicare?
Medicare is a federal insurance program that provides health insurance for people 65 and older and individuals younger than 65 that may qualify due to a disability. There are four different parts to Medicare — Part A, B, C, and D.
Medicare Advantage & Part D Medicare Advantage, or Medicare Part C
MAPD is an alternative to traditional Medicare administered by private insurance companies. Plans may have a low or no additional monthly premium. They may also provide benefits for things not covered by Medicare such as routine dental and vision care.
Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs)
PDPs are also administered by private insurance companies and provide important benefits to Medicare beneficiaries that are not covered by Medicare.
Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans, MedSup Plan
Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans, also known as Medigap Policies, help to fill in the gaps left behind by Original Medicare Part A & Part B.
